Gwendolyn Bounds is an award winning journalist and author. She is also, a highly ranked Spartan racer. Bounds is the author of “ Not too Late”, a book , released in June, detailing her transition from a very unathletic, mid forties executive to taking up Spartan racing and in a few short years, becoming a force in the sport. She is currently Vice President of Content & U.S. Media Partnerships for SmartNews, a news and information curation platform. Bounds previously served as a regular on air contributor to ABC News and was executive producer of an Emmy nominated NBC TV series, Consumer 101. She is a member of the North Carolina Media & Journalism Hall of Fame, and has been named one of Folio’s Top Women in Media.
