Episode recorded while on vacation during the Christmas holidays in Rome, Italy. Came across some ruins where there is a special cat sanctuary called Torre Argentina. The Gatti Di Roma Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary and rescue center is the oldest in Rome. While visiting, I asked for a podcast interview because I found the area not only facinating, but what a great story about cat rescues and helping the cats of Rome. And there just happened to be an American volunteer working on Christmas Day who did the interview with me. The books mentioned in the first segment are: Nelson: The One-Eyed King by Debra D'Alessandro and it is available on Amzaon in Italian. The other book mentioned, Cat Tales: The Journey of Cattail by Barbra Palmer is also on Amazon and is written in English. The website for Gatti Di Roma Torre Argentina is www.gattidiroma.net. Their Facebook page is: Gatti Di Roma--Roman Cats, their Instagram is: gattiditorreargentina. The anceint roman temple area where the cats live and where the cat sanctuary headquarters is, is said to be the temple location where Caesar was assassinated.
