Growing up as an only child in rural upstate New York I was very passionate about my schoolwork and sports. Important role models lead me to want to become a teacher. Went to college and majored in mathematics education and played basketball. Post grad became a high school math teacher and basketball coach. Up to that point in my life, everything I envisioned I succeeded at. Then I hit a season of experiencing heartbreaking losses and failures. My life became spiraling out of control, which caused me to look to a higher power for answers. Since then I’ve learned to embrace my failures and trust God as he guides my steps towards a life that’s more purposeful, loving, and fulfilling in using the gifts he has given me and impacting my life and the lives of people around me.
