Take the GRIT TEST at Angela's website:  angeladuckworth.com/grit-scale/
In today's episode we learn that Effort Counts Twice and it is Multiplicitive!
Also - the way to excellence is Deliberate Practice.  Below is a summary of what Angela Duckworth recommends in her book GRIT:
1.Get a Coach, mentor or teacher that can help you get the most out of deliberate practice
2.Know the science – each of the basic requirements is unremarkable
1.Have a clear stretch goal
2.Full effort and concentration
3.Immediate and informative feedback
4.Repetition with reflection and reinforcement
3.Make Practice a Habit – routines are a godsend and take away decisions and thought about when and where to practice
4.Get the right mindset – deliberate practice can feel wonderful. It’s all about in-the-moment self awareness without judgment.
It is not hours of brute force training. It is high quality, thoughtful training goals pursued for just a few hours a day, tops.
