As the marketing director for FASS Fuels, Jake Hopkins knows a thing or two about diesels and content creation. His journey into marketing actually began as a copywriter. From there, Jake got into the automotive aftermarket with Tire Dynamics. Then, it wasn’t long before he found his home at FASS Fuels. Fass stands for fuel air separation system, and that’s exactly what they do. Jake says you would be surprised at all the contamination that’s found in fuel from the pump. This can cause huge problems, especially for commercial trucks. They’re systems supply all the fuel flow you’ll ever need to keep your diesel running longer.
FASS Fuels didn’t become an industry leader on accident. In addition to their high quality products, Jake says they go heavy on content creation. He’s learned early on in his career that 99% of companies are only concerned with selling and are insecure when it’s time to talk about anything else. At FASS Fuels, Jake makes content that genuinely isn’t trying to sell anything. Instead, it’s about building relationships. One of Jake's skills when it comes to content creation, is framing. He can take anything and build an appealing story behind it.
Jake describes himself as a Toyota 4x4 nerd. He’s always admired the rugged, runs-forever build of the 4runner. It wasn’t long before its sister vehicle, the GX470, caught Jake’s eye. He was able to find a 2003 recently and knew he had to have it. FASS Fuels sister company, Top Tier Suspension, linked Jake up with Icon Vehicle Dynamics, where he’s now doing a stage 5 overhaul. FASS Fuels media outlet, FASS Motorsports, has been documenting a build on a 2007 Ram 3500. They put a triple turbo 6.4 cummins in it and thought they were so cool. Then they realized they were one of 10 other trucks in the shop having more or better done.
