How to become a fluent English Speaker- Part 3
When somebody is fluent in a language, they know how to ask the same question in a few different ways. For example:
Question 1: How are you? How’s it going? How do you do? How are things? What’s up?
Question 2: What do you do? What’s your job? What do you do for a living? What work do you do? What do you do for work?
Question 3: What are your children called? What are the names of your children? What are your children’s names?
Question 4: Is this the house you live in? Do you live in this house? Are you living in this house?
Question 5: What’s your favourite film? Which film do you like the most? What’s the best film you’ve ever watched?
Although they all mean the same, each one of these questions has a slightly different feel to it, and this knowledge and understanding is crucial to becoming a fluent English speaker. Once again, this takes time to learn, I must be patient, the process cannot be rushed.
