Laura Ascenzi-Moreno, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Bilingual Education at the School of Education at Brooklyn College, City University of New York (CUNY). She also serves as the Bilingual Program Coordinator housed within the Department of Childhood, Bilingual, and Special Education Department. She received her doctorate in Urban Education from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center in 2012. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was a dual language teacher and coach for more than a decade.
Cecilia M. Espinosa´s background in education goes back to 1986, when she moved from Ecuador to Phoenix, Arizona to begin her A.A. in Early Childhood Education from Scottsdale Community College. Since then, she got a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood, a M. Ed. on Elementary Education with endorsements on Bilingual Education, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education focused on Language and Literacy. All from Arizona State University, Tempe.
