(Gen. 19:30-20:18) Fear isn't always a bad thing. Especially when we are literally surrounded by legitimate concerns on a daily basis. Fear is naturally going to be a part of life. The way we respond to fear, however, is crucial! We shouldn't be driven by fear into making unwise decisions. Ungodly fear will always lead us to take matters into our own hands (like Lot, his daughters, and even Abraham and Sarah did in this passage) rather than trusting God to take care of things in His way and time. Our first response should be to look to God for wisdom and guidance, trust His answers, and respond in faithful actions. Let's not forget that His level of control is far greater than our circles of concern under ANY circumstance.
