A few things to note:
Genesis 18 Abraham is visited by three men from heaven. He and Sarah (Name changed in chapter 17:15) would have a son in their old age. He was also told of Sodom and Gomorrah's impending doom because of their sin. Abraham prays on their behalf.
Genesis 19 The cities of the Plains (Sodom and Gomorrah) were judged by fire and brimstone because of their wicked sin. Lot is visited by the same angels, he offers his daughters to the wicked men of the city, taken to safety by the angels and the cities were destroyed. He later goes back to where he did not want to be and was drunk and became the father of his own daughters children.
