Both is a Dativ verb. "Bei" - used when you are dependent on somebody . Zum Beispiel- ich wohne bei meiner Eltern . ( Sorry guys , i have said it wrongly in podcasts). Here you are dependent on your parents for your living and expenses. And. "Mit" is used when you are independent . Zum Beispiel" -ICH WOHNE MIT MEINEM FREUND .Here you are living independently .
