From the time we wake up in the morning to the time we go to sleep at night, we make decisions. Research suggests that each of us makes ~35,000 decisions every day, most of which are habituated decisions that don't require a lot of mental effort or overload our brains. This is a good thing, as most of these decisions are inconsequential in the grand scheme of our day or our lives. They do, however, drain our mental energy to a degree and, when coupled with having to make decisions of consequence, can lead to "decision fatigue." The result of decision fatigue can lead to feeling tired, having brain fog, and a whole host of physical symptoms, such as headaches or an upset stomach. To combat decision fatigue, the goal is to habituate inconsequential decisions in favor of making fewer decisions of consequence. Doing so will level-up your mindset to achieve peak performance.
