Description

The distinction between “reacting” and “responding” appears to be subtle or, merely, semantics, but there is a significant difference between how each shows up in our lives. “Reacting” is taking action back AT someone or something, which is driven by our survival instinct, while “responding” is answering back TO someone or something, which is driven by our rational mind. The former relates to physical or psychological threat, which takes the form of “baggage,” such as fear of failure, fear of not being accepted, fear of the unknown, and the like. The latter allows us to think deliberately and helps guide our behavioral responses to situations in which we find ourselves. Learning how to manage this difference helps you level-up your mindset to achieve peak performance in life and relationships. THANK YOU for joining the conversation!
