Molly Dickson is a fashion photographer, collage motion artist, and director reimagining 2D art from a multimedia approach. Her work spans commercial work for clients such as Benefit Cosmetics, Bergdorf Goodman, Bumble, and The Yes, alongside personal projects like her latest NFT collection, Computer Cowgirls, of which Molly is donating all proceeds to Fund Texas Choice, a non-profit organization that pays for Texans’ travel to abortion clinics. I originally found Molly's work on Instagram circa Spring 2017 and instantly admired how she married the nostalgic feeling of collages with modern tech that makes each of her pieces feel entirely new.
On today's episode we talk about Molly's journey as a photographer from assisting to signing with an agent, how Web3 is energizing Molly's perspective, the importance of women in the crypto community, and all the details that go into launching and maintaining an NFT project from creating the smart contract, to gas fees, and cultivating community.
