Welcome to Balance Health Now Podcast
When it comes to stress, we can’t 100% avoid it, but we can definitely become more resistant to it.
In this episode Michael Sherer provides tools and strategies for understanding your own health and stress and develop more health and resilience.
My special guest Michael Sherer left a 30-year career in IT management to pursue his passion for cutting-edge medical research and problem-solving. Publication of his first book, “One Disease: Redox Imbalance” led to his current collaboration with Dean P. Jones, Ph.D., author and co-author of numerous landmark articles in the field of redox biology.
These articles include “The Redox Code,” “Oxidative Stress,” and “Redox theory of aging: implications for health and disease.” Together, they are working to make the principles of redox theory accessible and actionable to the broader public.
Sherer has been called a visionary, an interdisciplinary problem solver, a futurist, a systems thinker, and a trendspotter.
Family health issues led him to apply these skills to a broad range of medical research and ultimately spurred his career change. His first two books “One Disease: Redox Imbalance” and “Resilience! The Key to Lifelong Health” are foundational works in the Redox Health series of books, which apply the principles of Redox Health to help people live longer, healthier lives, and provide more effective, lower-cost healthcare models for the societies they live in.
