We finally got a tame race weekend where the talk was predominately about the race and not so much the car or safety. It didn't start that way though as Jordan Anderson had a scary fire inside his race truck and a scarier exit of his truck. We discuss what Jordan was dealing with and how this could be a learning experience for the driver and his competitors. Matt Dibenedetto got his 1st NASCAR win in controversial fashion as he seemed to be forced below the yellow line, yet no one was penalized. I go over the final few hundred yards and how hometown driver Brett Holmes came so close to a big 1st win himself. On Saturday, AJ Allmendinger got the win in the cleanest race of the weekend but, the main story to watch for is his possible full time Cup Series return. Chase Elliott won the 1st race for a playoff driver in this year's playoff after an exciting late race restart. Also discussed is Ryan Blaney's winless playoff run, penalties given to Ty Gibbs and William Byron, as well as a look ahead at this weekend's race at the ROVAL.
