On today's episode of "In Stride," Sinead talks to Elsa Sinclair about freedom based training, a method she's developed through extensive work with wild mustangs.

Elsa spent a year with a wild mustang with the goal of being able to ride it without using any training tools besides her body language and her voice. Elsa set out to answer the questions: What if horses were given the choice? Would they let us ride them? She documented the whole process in her first documentary film, Taming Wild: A Girl and A Mustang.

Years later, Elsa made her second film, Taming Wild: Pura Vida, that tracks her journey across Costa Rica with two wild mustangs. Her third film has been in-process for 5 years and will document her experiences with two very different mustang stallions. To follow along, join the Taming Wild Community on Patreon.
