On today's episode of "In Stride," Sinead talks to 5* event rider Lillian Heard.
Lillian grew up in a small town in Maryland and was introduced to eventing through Seneca Valley Pony Club. After High School, she went on to work for 5* event rider Jan Bynny while she attended the University of Virginia. Her plan to go to law school after getting her undergraduate degree changed when she bought a very special horse named Share Option or "Whitey." Whitey took her on a different path. Together, Lillian and Whitey went up the levels and ultimately went around their first CCI5*-L together. Whitey is the first of multiple horses Lillian has brought up the levels of eventing. Today, she rents a barn from her longtime coach and mentor Boyd Martin at Windurra in Pennsylvania.
