Scott Brown is President of Para Vista Cricket Club. They play their cricket in the Para Districts Cricket Association in Adelaide. His story starts out playing footy in primary school and continues through some hiccups and moments where he could have pulled up stumps. Hear how he found his love of local sport through mate ship, overcoming adversity and always aiming to complete the unfinished business that started the itch that always needs scratching!

Being at the helm of a proud cricket club will have obvious stories of premiership success, which is common ad PVCC, however, the most inspiring stories created in the past couple of seasons. Growing the club from 1 and half senior teams to now having 75 registered senior players, 4 senior grades, all competing for success. Recently adding junior cricket to the club, for the first time in the clubs history, PVCC will be adding to the U10, U12, U14 & U16 teams by opening up registration for 2 dedicated junior girls teams for season 2023/24! Registrations will open in July, after the clubs AGM. If you have a daughter, niece or are eligible to play U12 & U15 girls cricket please send your details to paravistacc@gmail.com

Underpinning the success of PVCC is the clubs values and mission statement. As you will hear Scott say, the clubs mission is to provide affordable and enjoyable access to community level cricket for all, within a family orientated inclusive level. PVCC now have 38% of their members either born overseas or have parents that are born overseas. They certainly are an inclusive, fun-first, multicultural community cricket club.

To quote Scott Brown, "If you are having fun and are a better cricketer at the end of the season, that's good enough for us!"
