As Christian Parents it should be our desire to help raise children who make their own decision to follow Jesus. Following Jesus in this day and age is becoming more and more challenging to navigate. Especially if you are a young person or child. The world has messaging which is contrary to the word of God. In 1 Corinthians 2:12 Paul says: “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”
How do we help train our children to be led by the Holy Spirit? Proverbs 22:6 says: “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” How can this look practically? What steps can I take to help train my child? Shi-Anne Eakin a Pastor from “Eyes on Jesus” in Nashville TN (USA) and a great friend and mentor to us, shares some of the things she has learned on her parenting journey.
