What can you say about a man whose drive to tell young people from primary school upwards that manufacturing is a great career is completely off the scale, except, Wow!
Ian Green, Senior Controller of the Nissan Skills Foundation, could have been one of this country's top engineers/manufacturers, but Fate - in the form of an accident - had other ideas, so all that energy, all that creativity went into training and spreading the manufacturing apprenticeship message far and wide, engaging with tens of thousands of schoolchildren in the process.
Here he talks to Nick Peters about his own apprenticeship, his accident, his move into training and the challenges he faces every day.
BTW, Ian is also a member of The Manufacturer Top 100 most inspiring individuals in UK manufacturing. Listen to this and you'll understand why!
