NOTE: Because this was my first time using the podcast studio, I lost most of the audio during this interview. There are parts where the audio partially cuts out or is lower. I tried my best to salvage most of the footage, so please bear with me as I navigate the new microphones!!
Welcome to the second episode of my podcast, "from the Under Ground"! Today, please welcome Brandon Reid (he/him, Class of 2022), a social justice activist who has completed phenomenal feats throughout his time thus far at Davidson. To name just a few, Brandon has led the Student Government Association as the Student Body President for two years, he has started his own non-profit, and he just recently worked on a project in the Spring of 2021, called “Telling Stories of the Ignored and Forgotten" that has reached national news. In this episode, Brandon opens up about his experience with activism on and off campus and also talks more about his project with Sura. A very big thank you to Brandon for being vulnerable and trusting me with his story.
