A very common misconception around sports is that athletes are at their peak health of their life when they’re also achieving peak performance.



We know from many studies and tests that when athletes are at their peak, they are often also the most nutrient deficient and inflamed. This is just one reason why completely preventable injuries and illnesses are prevalent the deeper into the season they get.



In this episode we cover the most common drivers of chronic inflammation in athletes, some of which might surprise you. The first step is awareness and then I cover what steps you can take to minimize inflammation, drivers of chronic inflammation, and how to support your body through training and competition season to reduce your risk of injury and illness.
