Welcome to 66 in 365: Bible Reading for Kids! We are excited to be reading the Bible with you!! Our goal is to help our kids be engaged with the Bible every day this year and we hope that you will join us! So far we have been reading from the beginning of the bible and making our way chronologically, or in order of how it happened, through the Bible. But as we are inching closer to Easter and the Easter season, we wanted to jump ahead in the story and read about Jesus! So we will be bouncing around the gospels as we build up to the story of the crucifixion and resurrection! Today we start the book of John. We read about how Jesus was at the creation of the world, and then came into the world as a person. We hear about John the Baptists ministry, about how Jesus is the lamb of God and then the calling of the first disciples.
Our question for you and your family to discuss today is: if Jesus called you, would you have dropped everything and followed him like Peter and the other disciples?
Don't for get to practice our memory verse this week and if you want to send us a sound clip of the verse you practiced, we will add it to next week’s shows! Send it to 66in365@gmail.com This week's memory verse is 1 Peter 2:9, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness and into his marvelous light."
