→ Report out of the Wall Street Journal: According to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, Paramount and Comcast have had recent discussions about joining forces in the streaming landscape by way of a partnership or joint venture. Paramount is reportedly pursuing several potential strategic options and a partnership with Comcast is a potential choice. According to the report, combining the two platforms could result in major cost savings from programming and marketing perspectives. Plus, the venture could offer a more comprehensive live sports package for customers. Paramount has also reportedly had discussions about a potential merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.
