The Orange City Council has recently proposed a new cycling track atop Mt Canobolas. The tracks would end up over 70 kilometres long, and, as designed, will run through the Canobolos conservation area. There are concerns that this could do irreversible damage to what’s being described as an area with ‘extraordinarily high biodiversity’.
Community Drive’s Liam O’Connell spoke with Dr Andrew Rawson, an adjunct associate professor at the school of School of Agricultural, environmental and veterinary sciences, as well as a co-chair of the Canobolas Conservation Alliance.
