Awakening to Boundaries
Hey there, seekers of light! I've noticed a lot of us, when we begin our spiritual journey, tend to create borders that weren't there before. Having boundaries is not necessarily a bad thing. It sets a space for us to grow without external impositions that may harm our well-being. It's a part of learning self-protection and self-care, especially for those of us who had none to little boundaries before.
Now, imagine with me an animation demonstrating the process of creating borders around your spiritual self and how it helps you flourish.
The Judgment Phase
However, with setting boundaries also comes the phase of being judgemental. You label, you judge, you categorize people's behaviors. You start using words like "narcissists" and "toxic." I want you to know it's perfectly normal to go through this phase. Many of us have been there.
The Double-Edged Sword
Being judgmental, while it may seem like a negative term, is actually a double-edged sword. For us, on this spiritual journey, it's our defense mechanism—our way of learning to protect our newfound identity from being overwhelmed. It's okay to go through this.
Going Beyond Judgments
Eventually, as we progress, we move beyond the judgments. We understand that every person is on their journey, fighting their battles. We replace the harsh labels with empathetic understanding, and our defense weapons turn into bridges of compassion.
