Our featured poet for this episode is the writer and poet Ivana Akotowaa Ofori (The Spider Kid). In this second episode, she reads her poem "Heat" and speaks about its composition process, and what Ama Ata Aidoo means to her—a young Ghanaian woman writer. In her poem, Akotowaa demonstrates an exquisite language bending technique that makes poetry out of the space around the words on the page.
