The Bible always encourages believers to walk in the Spirit so that they do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The lust of the flesh involves yielding to worldly desires and engaging in the works of darkness which are of the devil. Today's Daily Devotional makes it clear that engaging in the works of darkness, and fulfilling the lusts of the flesh, is an expensive commodity not to be undertaken as it is of grave consequences.
