God loves righteousness because He is an embodiment of righteousness. It is therefore not strange to find Him demanding for righteousness not only from men but also from the nations of the world. It is righteousness that exalts a nation, and not sin, which destroys it. In today's Daily Devotional, the need for nations and their leaders to strive for God's righteousness is emphasized; It is made abundantly clear that God's blessings will always be upon nations that operate by God's righteousness whereas those not doing so will keep bringing His curse upon their land.
