Jesus' identity was one that was very contentious among the Jews, the Pharisees, and the religious leaders at the time of His ministry on the earth. Much as Jesus disclosed His identity and His origin to these religious people, they failed to believe Him, and refused to accept the credentials He presented to them through the signs and wonders that He performed. Today's Daily Devotional draws attention to this incredulous attitude of the Jews and these religious leaders and concludes that this same attitude is still what obtains today -- men refusing to accept or believe Jesus' credentials.
