In Jesus' evaluation of the seven representative churches in John's revelation on the island of Patmos, the church at Sardis was labeled the dead church. Today's Morning Devotion makes it clear that many today are also dead spiritually though they appear to men to be alive. They are the living dead whom God is calling upon to repent, be forgiven, and receive His eternal life. March 4, 2023.
