Parenting is a lot different than it was when we were kids. It's hard to describe just how much it's changed, but we can all agree that being a parent today is nothing like being a parent in the past.
We're not sure if that's good or bad, but we do know that it feels like parenting is more complicated than ever—and even though it may be exhausting and frustrating at times, there are still moments of joy and wonder that make it worth sticking with.
When Demi McConkie and I sat down to chat about raising kids, we talked about how important it is to slow down and listen to our children as much as possible. Demi helps leaders find their unique way of leading by helping them slow down and notice what's actually happening around them (and within themselves) so they can lead with confidence and authenticity. She also has two wonderful children who keep her on her toes!
