In James 1:26-27 we're reminded of the importance of how we use our words and what God requires from us in our works. He's not looking for us to build prosperity but to build people by showing compassion and investing into being a blessing to those who are in need. As we continue to improve in living our holiest hot mess lives, let's look to God’s expectations of what and how we invest our time, talents, and treasures in our real relationship with Him and others - that's the true Christian "religion."
