The scriptures are sparse in teaching us about Mary. However what we do have and post writings give us insights into the pure love and discipleship of Mary Magdalene. Mary was a true friend of Jesus Christ. We know that Mary was at the cross at Jesus’ death, she accompanied his body to its tomb. She wept at the tomb when the body of Christ was missing. She is the first witness to Christ’s resurrection.
