Description

Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." Again, the Hebrew word here for "wife" is ishshah; the same as it is for woman. And in this verse, we see that "wife-hood" is already within the woman. Capability is already her portion. So by the time she meets destiny, she's already used to living her life according to divine design - bearing out her calling (as a wife).

And, because she's already spent time with the Lord being built up by Him (Genesis 2:22):

• she's already empowering (Judges 4:4).
  
• she's already secure (Judges 4:21).
  
• she's already confident (Exodus 15:20).
  
• she's already gentle (1 Peter 3:1-4).
  
• she's already nurturing (1 Peter 4:10-11).
  
• she's already resourceful (Proverbs 31:10-30).
  
• she already knows how to submit and defer to him when she needs to (Ephesians 5:21).
  
• She's already a safe place to land (Song of Solomon 7:6).
  

Just as this ishshah was already prepared for her destiny when God brought her to it, so are you and I already prepared for the opportunities the Lord has for us. In this season, don't back down from those opportunities that the Lord is presenting to you. Take the promotion. Say yes to the dress (and the man!). Rebuild the business. Begin the ministry. Develop the website. Enroll in the course. Sell the house. Buy the house! Adopt the child. Join the church. . .
