Some of my friends are still in NOLA and I treasure that city so much. If you don't know what NOLA stand for by now, New Orleans, LA. One of the best cities hands down in the country for music. If you’re in NOLA and have heard of the Saturn Bar, great venue to go to! My friends went there and saw this indie pop alt rock band called HEY THANKS! My friends said you have got to interview them on your podcast so shoutout to them. I DMed them on IG and was like hey wanna be on the podcast??? A little bit about the band Hey Thanks! emerged from Lafayette. Most of the band members went to school together and have released some singles and an EP called Nothing It Would Change, Nothing I Could Say. They have performed at not only Saturn Bar but the Republic, The Metro, Gasa Gasa, and many more NOLA venues. In this episode, I'll be chatting with the band leader Travis and the guitarist Alex. They are going to share their backstory with the band, their songwriting process, the best experiences as a band to the times where they had to fix their van on the side of the road in Texas. Hey Thanks! has achieved some great accomplishments and announcements including being recently signed to a record label Iodine Records, a new LP coming out Start Living on May 27th. Also, Hey Thanks! is doing a "run" March 11th-14th which will be held at Midcity Ballroom in Baton Rouge. We will also take a listen to two of their songs including This Small Space and From Me To You.
