My guest Marcus Torgerson is a man who doesn’t fit in a specific box. Walking his path, trusting the process. Marcus knows a thing or two about facing storms...He had to learn at a young age how to survive in this world. From an alcoholic mother who always reminded him of the botched abortion to being molested. He has had to fight his way through life.
We discuss how this chaotic upbringing helped develop his skills to become "a nightmare for bad guys." With the craziness in the world today, I see a need for us to be skilled in de-escalation, self-protection and evasion. Marcus and I also discuss how even a non-violent person has a level of violence in them. Just ask a mother whose children are in harm's way.
We also move the conversation to a few things we all can relate to. This was my favorite part of this conversation with Marcus. So stick around to the end to not miss out.
Marcus knows what he's talking about! He is a specialist in hand-to-hand defensive tactics. He has over 40 years of martial arts experience. If there is a need to educate and empower a civilian in the quickest easiest way possible then Marcus is your man. His speciality is his ability to assess and choose the appropriate empowering & educational plan of action to get a student to mentally and physically be a nightmare for bad guys in a short amount of time. Marcus Is a reflective old man that deeply believes in “ being kind to dumb animals “ thanks to his 2 decades of working security in nightclubs. However, The one thing that Marcus is overly sensitive and empathetic about is people with special needs and physical and mental handicaps.
Marcus was also featured in the book by retired Navy SEAL, Clint Emerson: 100 Deadly Skills https://amzn.to/3n5NEYk
