Description

Los Angeles has about 70,000 homeless people, and a large portion of them live in a contained area called SKID ROW.  In this episode of Run It By My Lawyer, Joe Samo details a massive lawsuit that forced Los Angeles to dedicate $236 million to address this problem.

The plaintiffs proved that Los Angeles violated the Constitutional rights of these unhoused people by failing to provide shelter, allowing crimes to increase, and creating unsanitary conditions.

Joe Samo wants you to understand the depth and history of how Skid Row became such a disaster and complicated problem that dates back to the 1800s.  The problems that started in the 1800s persist to this day in Los Angeles and many other cities.

As always, we love hearing from you!
