After graduation from Binghamton University in 2020, Shawn was working for an insurance company and helping his family business. But after a while, he realized that an office job is not his thing and wanted more. To create something for himself while still having that passion. That’s when Shawn had the forethought of a shop with his friend Maxxie, 27; an accountant, who also shared the same dream. In 2021, both decided to quit their jobs and open Whose Coffee. Like the Legendre from Brazil, used for most of their espresso-based coffee. It is medium-dark roasted, and it gives you a very smooth walnut and chocolate taste. Also, a bean used from Ethiopia called Sidamo for their House coffee. It has a fruitier taste and light bitterness. They’re proud owners of their signature pour over coffee, which uses two different types of beans. One is called Las Rosas from Guatemala. It is lightly roasted that comes with strawberry and star fruit taste. The other is from their original country-China. It is called Yunnan and this bean comes with floral taste. They serve more than just coffee. Whose Coffee has 8 different kinds of teas right now and their Matcha is imported from Kyoto, Japan. Included they have green tea and black teas that originated from China as well.
