South African anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela died in 2013...or did he? I mean, yes, he did historically die in that year. Why, then, are there thousands of people who remember and insist that he died in prison in the 1980's? I mean, thousands of people can't be wrong. Well...they can, and they are, but the question is, why? Could it be that human memory is faulty? Or could there be subtle shifts in our timeline that bring in people who experienced and alternate history to our own? Could that be why people misremember the spelling of Double Stuf Oreos? We cover a lot of reasons this conspiracy makes people so passionate, some explanations being childhood amnesia, a glitch in the Matrix and more-than-probable lack of media literacy...or literacy in general when it comes to just remembering how things are spelled.
