Episode #23 Listen to our 3rd and final CTE Academy located at Washington High School, the Boat Building Academy. CTE teacher Ken Adams, who began as a carpentry and drafting teacher, talks about their new building scheduled to be completed in Fall 2022. The program & building is a product of great minds coming together with the help of the Golden Leaf Grant. Mr. Adams and Vicki Hamill, Director of CTE, talk about the benefits of participating in the academy: building wooden boats, hands-on experience, and all the current employment in the area with marine trades.
