Hi friends, I recorded this in the Cleveland airport at 5am before boarding my flight to Cuba. I apologize for the chaos, however this topic was highly requested. In today's episode I talk about the current president of Oberlin College, Carmen Ambar. Carmen Ambar has implemented several significant changes within the Oberlin administration, which have affected both the student body and the greater Oberlin community. Most recently, the president has been criticized by several mainstream news outlets regarding the decision to outsource student health services to a Catholic health system, which will consequently deny students access to reproductive, contraceptive, and gender affirming care. Many have worried that this decision points to a recent and disturbing trend of private colleges prioritizing cost cutting measures over the wellbeing of students.
