Description

How does grief an immigration intersect?

What is it like to feel a loss twice in cases like kidnapping and incarceration?

How can building community help our healing process?

In this episode, I talk with Roxana about the unique ways that immigrants face and experience grief and loss. We talk about complex and anticipatory loss as loved ones cross borders and face danger, and the difficulty families face as they try to make a life in a new place. We also speak about the ways that building community has helped validate and heal those in our community facing these experiences of grief.
