Young Talented Go Kart racer Reid Sweeney has been driving go karts since he was 7 years old. He Got his starts out at the Gateway Kartplex and has been nothing short of fast since he sat in the seat of a go kart for the first time. Reid has racked up numerous race wins at Gateway's Regional karting series, has won multiple Midwest Regional races through the Margay Ignite challenge series, Has won multiple Major karting events like Daytona, Rock Island GP and Battle at the Brickyard in Indianapolis. Most importantly he is a 4x Margay Ignite Challenge Series Junior Champion, all in consecutive years. Now Reid makes the jump up to Senior Class where he looks to add more wins to his racing resume just like he did in his first Senior race out at Daytona. Reid has recently started to dip his toe into racing cars and went through the Lucas Oil School of Racing to look at pursuing the the open wheel path.
