In this episode, McKenzie Tran hosts a discussion about Roversity with the project leads, Nicole Oturno and Nico Cadernas. Roversity is a program started by Nicole to educate and support the underserved youth about STEM and Robotics through hands-on experiences. Nicole and Nico are currently working with Hispanic students at the Second Story Homeless Shelter. They come in bi-weekly to introduce students to the robotics kits and teach them different aspects of creating robots: programming, electrical, and mechanical. Using robotic kits from education equipment companies, the students are able to try many different creative ideas on their own.
