Back to the beginning of DingoTalk! This week in honor of draft weekend we sit down with award winning podcast guest and Steelers best writer Alan Saunders.
The Penn Trafford and IUP graduate has mad a name for himself covering sports any sport, all sports in Western PA. Although there was a brief stop at Gettysburg College when he thought he wanted to major in History. Thankfully he stayed writing about sports!
Alan gave us some great inside on the Pitt Panthers both on the football field and basketball court. Starting with the football field. Alan recapped the 2022 season, what 2023 looks like and more about the happenings in Oakland.
Alan stayed in Oakland, taking us over to the men’s basketball team under Coach Jeff Capel. Alan addressed the problems he saw with the past Capel teams, what made this team work and when he knew this 2022 team was different.
We move from Oakland over to the South Side. With the show being released on Draft Day why not talk a little Pittsburgh Steelers talk. He talks about how this draft will see there Steelers upgrade some depth but expects pick Number 17 will play a lot of on Sundays next season but wasn’t sold that it would definitely be a DB.
We also talked a little Matt Canada as the OC, thoughts on 7 being an OC chatter having from the Yinzers out there. Among other things surrounding the Steelers.
