This week continuing in the PAC with defending PAC Champion Ryan Larsen Carnegie Mellon Head Football Coach!
The Chicago Native coach Larsen played his college ball at Claremont-Mudd-Scrips where he was a two year starter at QB.
The next step, better the first step in his coaching journey took him Bloomington Indiana. He would earn a masters degree from IU while being a part of the IU coaching staff for two seasons.
During his 13 year coaching career that included stops in Stevenson University, Rhodes College, Wabash College and Columbia, everywhere Coach Larsen has been he has helped with the success of the programs he has coached.
Feb.3, 2022 Coach Larsen was tabbed to replace 36 year veteran coach Rich Lackner who went out on Top of the PAC and earning Carnegie Mellon its first NCAA Playoff Birth since 2006.
Stepping into the Head coaching role, coach Larsen led the Tartans to an 8-0 PAC conference title, as 10-0 regular season record and second consecutive Playoff appearance before falling to eventual National Championship North Central.
The 2023 season sets up to be a good one for PAC fans and for D3 football. As Coach said top to bottom every team has to bring their A game that how good the conference has become.
