This week we are back in Division 3 with OAC member Wilmington College Head Football Coach Corey Fillipovich.
Coach Filli is no stranger to the OAC, Muskingum College. Although he got his history degree, coaching was his calling. Coaching for a year at Muskingum before moving on to Heidelberg.
11 years at Heidelberg,and as hard as it was to walk away from Heidelberg and the OAC it was time for Coach Filli to take his talents south two seasons as the defensive coordinator at North Carolina Wesleyan.
North Carolina Wesleyan was a great experience but the OAC and Wilmington College under the leadership of Bryan Moore. By 2022 it was time for Coach Filli to take the head seat.
Leading Wilmington College to a 3-1 start, this biggest take away from this season was the improvements to the culture and players. It’s going to take time to build but maybe not as much time as folks think. This is a team to watch in the next couple years in OAC.
