Coach Matt Walker has been at the helm of the UW-River Falls football program since 2011, leading the Falcons to national prominence with a dynamic, record-setting offense and a strong culture of student-athlete development. Under his leadership, the team has consistently ranked in the national Top 25 and secured back-to-back Isthmus Bowl Championships in 2021 and 2022. Walker’s tenure has also seen the emergence of standout players like quarterback Kaleb Blaha, a 2023 Gagliardi Trophy finalist.
