My podcast today is about how to deliberately create a series of breakthroughs in your life.
I suspect that there’s a formula to achieving breakthrough experiences which can be replicated in any area of your life and I aim to capture that by sharing my swimming lessons experience first. If you have a tangible experience of a breakthrough in one area of your life, not only will it spill over in other areas of your life, I feel that you can consciously cause it to happen frequently.
About my swimming lessons, I’ve had a life long confusing, love-fear relationship with the ocean. I love being in water - it is soothing, nurturing and healing. I am mesmerised by the rhythmic motions of the waves and the sound of the waves, yet the ocean has been a deep, mysterious and unpredictable entity that’s always been elusive and I feel out of depth.
Over 20 years, I’ve had innumerable swimming lessons with little or almost no progress. But, I’ve always gone back to swimming. My love of Sacred Water became stronger and this year, I went back yet again for swim lessons. This year was my breakthrough year. There’s been a series of mini and micro-mini breakthrough experiences with swimming that I feel is on the brink of spilling over in other parts of my life.
